The song was the lead single from their greatest hits record Crossroads. The video came at a time that hundreds of thousands of dollars were consistently pumped into the production of music videos, as I uncovered while reading I Want My MTV: The Uncensored Story of the Music Video Revolution by Rob Tannenbaum. Instead, Bon Jovi recorded and released the song on their next album, Cross Road. And rather than allowing the song to appear in a bad feature film, they instead decided to feature it an even worse music video.
In 1994 Bon Jovi took the background in their own music video for 'Always', which appeared on the band's greatest hits compilation Cross Road. They left the video's storyline to some of Hollywood's then up-and-coming actors. Check out cameos from a very young Carla Gugino and Keri Russell.

Well the song itself seems to just be about a guy telling his girlfriend/wife that he will love her "Always." But there's also a little story in the music video where a man cheats on his wife, and she runs off and poses for some other guy's painting. Then the first guy finds her and sees the painting and they start fighting again.I guess the song is just about being faithful to your lover?
It's about great, maddening love. Even if it's about stalking, it's not violent, it's love... Watch the video too, ain't it about love? And it also makes me think of God. He will also love us always, no matter what crazy things we do. 041b061a72
