Viticulture Essential Edition

Designer Uwe Rosenberg (Agricola, Caverna, Bohnanza, etc) has helped us combine the second edition of Viticulture with a few elements from Tuscany: Mama & Papas, Fields (Properties), various Visitor cards, & Automa (solo variant).

I am looking to purchase a version of Viticulture and m confused about the options. I see (on BGG) Viticulture; V. Essential edition; V. Tuscany Essential Edition; V Tuscany. The 2 essential editions both talk about having components of the Tuscany expansion, but it is not clear which. Will the two essential editions have redundant parts? if I purchased the basic game plus the tuscany expansion would that include all the parts of the two essential editions? Having never played any version I cannot make sense of the descriptions. Thanks.

Ihave one question regarding three players game of viticulture we can repeat the same action of worker placement.Suppose I placed one worker on the action space DRAW vine card , then I place another worker on PLANT vine card , then again I placed my worker on DRAW vine card.Is this sequence of action is correct ???The vine card that DRAWN in a particular year can be PLANTED in the.same year ???

Hi! I have the essential editions for the base game and tuscany, as well as the 2 small expansions. Is everything supposed to fit in the core box? I currently have not figured out a way to get it to fit so i have all the boards in the tuscany box and everything else in the core box. Any ideas as to how to get it all to fit in the core box? will the upcoming expansion include new game content and a big box solution?

Hello, I really want to buy this game, totally convinced we are going to enjoy it. I can only find the essential edition though. Is it an expansion? Do I need to have the Viticulture 2013 game to play it? Thank you

Hi Jamey! I am Joel from Portugal and i just bought the base game of viticulture. I am a bit of a collector when it comes to board games that i love and viticulture (and scythe) is one of them. But, since we lost a bit of content from the old version of tuscany compared to the ee, i am trying to get, at least, the arboriculture and formaggio expansion. I also know that we will have another viticulture expansion for 2021. So, my problem is, is that new expansion related at all with that content that i just mencioned? Because if it is i will try to save the money and wait for the expansion! :)Thank you so much for your games, those two are just wonderful!

Played my third 2 player game, this time without the Grande worker. I know that in the 1st edition there wasnt a grande worker. I read/ watched some reviews and some of them mentioned that they found the game to tight or something (for example rahdos runthrough of the 1st edition). So I was curious if that was the case.

The visitor cards, which are essentially action cards, are one of the most interesting aspects of the game. Usually with this kind of Euro-style game if there is an action card mechanism, the cards will only apply marginal or situational benefits.

Viticulture is a worker-placement game set in the foothills of Tuscany. The Essential Edition includes the second edition of Viticulture along with several elements from the original Tuscany expansion pack, hand-picked by famed designer Uwe Rosenberg.Contains:

Viticulture is a well-balanced game and one which I do not believe struggles to put across a convincing case to be considered one of the quintessential Worker Placement games of all time. It is a highly enjoyable Engine Builder with a production quality that is second only to the likes of games like Lords of Waterdeep. There is a meeple for everything, and this helps add to the overall feel that Viticulture is a game about luxury. It is a game about making and enjoying wine. It is a game about the creation of decadence, and that is somewhat fascinating.

Viticulture Essentials takes some of the ideas of the previous Tuscany Expansion for Viticulture and adds it all together with the second edition. It has replaced previous versions of the game completely, as it is so much improved!

Viticulture is a 2-6 player game that takes 45-90 minutes to play. In the game, you find yourself in rustic, pre-modern Tuscany, where you've inherited a meager vineyard. You'll have a few plots of land, an old crushpad, a tiny cellar, 3 workers...and the dream of owning the best winery in Italy. Your job is to allocate your workers and helpful visitors to complete various tasks throughout the year. Each season is different on a vineyard, so the workers have different tasks they can take care of in the summer and winter. There's competition over those tasks, and often the first worker to arrive at each one has an advantage over the rest. Using those workers and visitors, you can expand your vineyard by building structures, planting vines, and filling wine orders as you work towards the goal of owning the most successful winery in Tuscany. The Essential Edition includes the second edition of Viticulture along with several elements from the original Tuscany expansion pack, hand-picked by famed designer Uwe Rosenberg.
